Tengrinews.kz – An unusual flight of passengers from the USA to Japan has become known.
According to the Daily Mail, an American Airlines flight from New York to Japan returned back to the USA, despite the fact that it had already been in flight for 12 hours out of the planned 14.
"Flight 167 departed from John F. Kennedy International Airport at 10:45AM ET on Monday, according to FlightAware. The Boeing aircraft had crossed the entire continental US and was flying over the Pacific Ocean, when the pilots were forced to turn around. Instead of returning to an airport along the West Coast, the plane flew for another five hours, crossing half of the US, and landed at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport around 10PM СТ", the media reports.

According to the Daily Mail, American Airlines confirmed to Fox 4 that a technical malfunction was the reason for the deviation from the route. It is reported that the passengers were placed in a hotel in Texas, and the next day they flew back to Tokyo.
