Tengrinews.kz – Starting September 1, new arrival declaration requirements take effect in Indonesia for passengers of international flights and maritime transport.

According to the General Directorate of Immigration of Indonesia, the new rule initially applies to three major international airports — Soekarno-Hatta (Jakarta), Juanda (Surabaya), and I Gusti Ngurah Rai (Bali) — as well as the international port in Batam.
All arriving passengers must now fill out a declaration via the All Indonesia mobile app.

The system is being gradually expanded and tested across all airports, sea ports, and land entry points.

What changes for passengers?

  • Unified form: Immigration, customs, health, and quarantine declarations are now combined into one.
  • When to fill it: Up to 3 days before arrival, or at the airport upon landing.
  • Cost: Free of charge via the app.
  • Access: Available at allindonesia.imigrasi.go.id and on Google Play / App Store.
  • Convenience: Replaces the previous separate e-CD customs declaration, streamlining data submission into a single digital format.

Why are the changes being introduced?

According to Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman, the All Indonesia app is designed to simplify and speed up entry procedures while enhancing security.

“The app reduces the time needed for formalities and makes the process more convenient for all travelers — individuals, families, the elderly, children, and people with disabilities,” he said.

Similar systems are already in place in Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, and other countries.

What Kazakhstanis need to know

The electronic declaration does not replace a visa.

Entry rules for Kazakhstani citizens remain the same: you can obtain a visa on arrival or apply for an e-visa in advance via molina.imigrasi.go.id.

Kazakhstan is on the list of countries eligible for visa-on-arrival since January 2023.

Visa-on-arrival conditions:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months;
  • Return ticket or onward ticket to a third country;
  • Cost: 500,000 Indonesian rupiah (approx. 16,000 KZT);
  • Validity: 30 days, extendable for another 30.
