All of a sudden the old anthem of Kazakhstan started playing at the World Weight-lifting Championship in Paris, where Zulfiya Chinshalo won gold, Tengrinews.kz reports. The event was broadcasted by El Arna TV channel. The old anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan played during the awarding ceremony to an utter amazement of Kazakhstan journalists, sportsmen and Chinshanlo, the winner of the medal. Kazakhstan delegation was indignant by this incident. Moreover, the journalists were unsatisfied with the work of the press center of the Championship. There were no spare computers, and the journalists experienced problems with Wi-Fi connection. Also the organizers of the event were prohibited from making videos of the tournament. According to Kazakhstan TV operators, Eurosport channel had gained exclusive rights to shoot and broadcast of the event. Other TV channels had to pay a $250 fee. Lifting 130 kilos in clean and jerk is a new world record for women in this weight league.
