Diyas met with American Tornado Alicia Black. The 16-year old American made it to the main draw of the tournament through the qualifying draw. The Kazakh tennis player beat Tornado fairly easily.

Diyas met with American Tornado Alicia Black. The 16-year old American made it to the main draw of the tournament through the qualifying draw. The Kazakh tennis player beat Tornado fairly easily.
Only in the first set the U.S. tennis player put up some resistance to Diyas (6:4). But in the second set Diyas left her no chance winning 6:0.
In the 1/8 finals Diyas will meet with Japanese Nara Kurumi, who won (7:5, 6:3) over Madison Keys from the United States seeded seventh in the tournament.
Zarina Diyas is now in TOP-60 WTA and holds the 53rd place. She first entered the TOP-100 WTA in March 2014, when she became 95th.
This year, Zarina reached 1/8 finals at Wimbledon for the first time in her career.
Zarina Diyas, 20, is a professional tennis player from Kazakhstan. She deputed in 2009 and has won four singles of the ITF tour in her career. 2014 was Diyas' breakthough season. On July 7, 2014, she reached her best singles ranking of world number 53.
