Racing: Kazakhstan racing team ready for prestigious races in Africa

Kazakhstan’s Mobilex Racing Team is ready for the prestigious marathon rally Africa Eco Race, Vesti.kz reports. The Kazakhstan team will be represented by two crews: Pilot Kanat Shagirov and navigator Alexandr Moroz, pilot Yuriy Sazanov and navigator Arslan Sakhimov. Both crews will drive Hummer H3 off-roaders. The racers told that the main training stage was over and the team was on its way to the Czech Republic, and would depart for St Cyprien, France, from there. "The race will last for 14 days; it is one of the most serious and long races. And Mobilex Racing Team has to reach the finish. Not only pilots and navigators, but also their mechanics, took a serious training. They prepared the cars for the race on their own, without any assistance from the manufacturers," Yuriy Sazanov said. The team used these cars in two previous races and achieved good results. He added that the main goal of the Kazakhstan racers was to complete the race and get good standings: "Our goal is not just to finish the race this time, but to get a good result." Sonangol Africa Eco Race which will start from St Cyprien on December 29, 2013 and finish on January 11, 2014.
