Tengrinews.kz – The Senate has passed amendments to the sports law for more efficient budget utilization.
From now on, national federations will be prioritized in fund distribution, while financing for professional clubs will be reduced in favor of children's and mass sports.
More effective budget allocation is expected to help achieve high results in the Olympic, Paralympic, Deaflympic Games, as well as the Asian Games and Para Games.
Local authorities will be able to regulate sports service prices, while athlete training will be strengthened with new standards and support for sports medicine.
Additionally, Kazakhstan will prohibit budget funding for foreign athletes, and leaders of state sports organizations will be regularly rotated.
