Kazakh women's team wins 9th round of Chess Olympiad

Kazakhstan’s women chess team has won the chess players from Iran in the 9th round of the Chess Olympiad in Norwegian Tromso, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

Kazakhstani chess players Zhansaya Abdumalik, Dinara Saduakasova, Madina Davletbayeva and Gulmira Dauletova won 2.5:1.5 over their opponents. It marked the team’s 6th victory. As for the other rounds, the Kazakh chess players finished one round with a draw and lost two rounds.

As a result, the Kazakhstani team rose to the 14th place. The undefeated Russian team maintains the 1st place.

In the next round, the Kazakh chess player will face France.

The 41st World Chess Olimpiad gathered 177 men and 136 women’s teams from all around the world. All in all, over 2 thousand chess players came to Tromso to compete in the Olimpiad.
