Head Coach of Astana FC Miroslav Beranek resigns
The Chief Coach of Kazakhstan's Football Club Astana Miroslav Beranek has submitted his resignation, Vesti.kz reports.
Astana’s failure in the first round of the European League is said to be the reason of his resignation. The team lost to Bulgarian Botev football club.
The reaction of the Kazakhstan football club's management to the Czech expert's intention to leave the post has not been publicized yet. It is not clear whether Beránek will continue as the coach of Kazakhstan national football team in case he steps down from Astana club.
Miroslav Beranek started working with Kazakhstan national team in January 2011, and added Astana club to his duties in May 2012. Under the leadership of the Czech coach Astana football club took the 5th place last season, and became the holder of the Kazakhstan Cup.
The July 11 match against the Bulgarian club that was part of the European League qualification ended with a flat 0:5 loss for Beranek's footballers.
