Golovkin loses to Kovalev in Top 5 Post-Soviet country boxers

Kazakhstani boxer Gennady Golovin (33-0, 30KOs), the holder of the WBA Super, IBO and WBC Interim middleweight titles from Kazakhstan, was named among the Top 5 boxers from the post-Soviet space according to BoxingPlanet.ru

Vladimir Klitchko got the first place and was followed by Sergey Kovalev. Undefeated Golovkin took the third place in the rating. Ruslan Provodnikov from Russia landed on the fourth place. The fifth place went to the Olympic Champion from Ukraine Vasiliy Lomachenko.

Golovkin’s next fight is scheduled for October 17. Triple G is fighting the Canadian IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux in his first PPV fight at Madison Square Garden.
