Kazakhstan professional figure skater Denis Ten won gold at the Istanbul Cup in Turkey.

Kazakhstan professional figure skater Denis Ten won a gold medal in the Istanbul Cup competition that was held in Turkey, Tengrinews.kz reported referring to Olga Kosheyeva, the sportsman’s press-secretary. Denis Ten got 220.83 points in total after compulsory and free skating programs and this was the skater’s best result in his career. Kazakhstan sportsman performed in Zagreb, Croatia one week before the Turkey Cup. There he got 220.47 points and became second. Ten included a quadruple toe loop into his short and free skating program for the first time in Zagreb. Denis Ten’s video from Zagreb competition is available here. Denis will take part in two big figure skating competitions in the beginning of 2012. One is Four Continents Figure Skating Championship that will be held in the USA on February 7-12, and the other one Nizza World Championship that will take place in France on March 26 – April 1.
