The tenth stage of the Africa Eco Race-2015 has finished on January 9, in Toueila, Mauritania. A crew from Kazakhstan consisting of Marat Abykayev and Andrey Chipenko (#217, Nissan Patrol) from Off Road Kazakhstan team has come first in its T2 group, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.
The tenth stage of the Africa Eco Race-2015 has finished on January 9, in Toueila, Mauritania. A crew from Kazakhstan consisting of Marat Abykayev and Andrey Chipenko (#217, Nissan Patrol) from Off Road Kazakhstan team has come first in its T2 group, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.
The tenth stage comprised a 346 km route, of which 342 km were special sections.

The only Kazakhstan’s crew in T2 group (all-terrain vehicles with small difference from production models) Marat Abykayev and Andrey Chipenko (#217, Nissan Patrol) from Off Road Kazakhstan team came first among T2 cars in the tenth stage. They covered the distance in 5 hours 31 minutes and 18 seconds. This enabled the Kazakh crew to get the 13th line in the overall standings that comprise the results of all stages (previously they held the 15th position).
The winners of the stage was the French crew representing Bugg Afrique team - Jean Antoine Sabatier and Jean-luc Rojat (#201, BUGGA ONE) that drove 3 hours 59 minutes and 2 seconds. Thanks to this, the French crew maintained their first line in the overall standings for the third time in a row. They still hold the first position among cars in T1 group (significantly modified all-terrain vehicles).
The crew of Kanat Shagirov and Alexander Moroz (#215, Toyota Hilux Overdrive) representing Mobilex Racing Team again showed the best result among Kazakhstan’s crews. Their time was 4 hours 25 minutes and 29 seconds. As a result, the Kazakh crew came second at the tenth stage in its T1 group and fourth in the overall rankings.
Kazakhstan’s crew from Off Road Kazakhstan team – Andrey Cherednikov and Dmitriy Tsyro (#218, Hummer H3) finished the stage twelfth in its T1 group with 4 hours 46 minutes and 53 seconds. However, they lost three lines in the overall rankings, thus getting the twelfth line.
Yuriy Sazonov and Arslan Sakhimov (#216, Hummer H3) from Mobilex Racing Team were sixth in T1 group according to the results of the tenth stage and still maintained their fifth position in the general standings. The crew's time was 6 hours 6 minutes and 21 seconds.
As for bikers, the only biker representing Kazakhstan Vadim Pritulyak (#104, KTM 500) from Mobilex Racing Team covered the distance in 5 hours 30 minutes and 30 seconds. As a result, Pritulyak finished the stage first in his +450 group and got the 9th line in the overall standings.
