Kazakhstan team Astana completed the eighth stage of the world’s most prestigious rally Dakar at the fourth place, the tournament’s official website writes. The truck driven by Arthur Ardavichus was 13 minutes 56 seconds behind the leader, Czech driver Ales Loprais. The leader of the general classification, Dutch racer Gerard De Rooy was ranked second. In overall Astana was still ranked fourth, but was 58 minutes 40 seconds behind De Rooy. The crew of Kazakhstan team led by Denis Berezovskiy in offroaders category completed the eighth stage of Dakar at the 100th place. Berezovskiy is ranked 96th in the general classification. The crew is 6 hours behind the leader Stephane Peterhansel from France. The ninth stage of the rally was held on January 10 between Chilean cities Antofagasta and Iquique.
