17 y.o. Dinara Saduakassova from Kazakhstan wins World Chess Championship

Kazakhstani grand master Dinara Saduakassova has won the World Youth Chess Championship 2014 in South Africa, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.


Kazakhstani grand master Dinara Saduakassova has won the World Youth Chess Championship 2014 in South Africa, Tengrinews reports citing Vesti.kz.

This marked Saduakassova’s third title victory in her career. Earlier, the young grand master won in the 14 to 17 years old category.

The Kazakhstani got 10 out of 11 points at the Championship. As a result, she went 11 lines up in the FIDE TOP 100 Women. She is now ranked 53rd, which is the best standing among Kazakhstani chess players.

Osmanodja Filiz from Germany won the silver and Xiao Yiyi from China took the bronze at the Championship.

Earlier, Kazakhstan team with the 17 y.o. Saduakassova won the 6th place in the Tromso 2014 Chess Olympiad in Norway. In the final stage, Kazakhstani chess players beat the Czech team 3:1. Dinara Saduakassova got 2488 points in her performance rating. Another Kazakh chess player Gulmira Dauletova won the bronze at the Olympiad.
