Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has signed a law ratifying the agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic on the promotion and mutual protection of investments, the Akorda press service reported on June 2.
The agreement aims to create favorable conditions for investors from both countries and strengthen bilateral investment cooperation. It guarantees fair and equitable treatment of investments, as well as full protection and security within the territory of the other state.
Each party retains the right to designate sensitive sectors of the economy that may be excluded from the agreement. The document also prohibits the nationalization of investments.
Earlier, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev delivered a video message on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Baikonur Cosmodrome.
