Tengrinews.kz – Seismologists in Kazakhstan recorded an earthquake in Kyrgyzstan.
According to the Kazakh Data Center of the Institute of Geophysical Research at the National Nuclear Center, the tremors occurred yesterday at 10:59 p.m. Astana time. The magnitude was 5, with the epicenter located at a depth of 2 kilometers.
Meanwhile, as reported by 24.kg, the earthquake in Kyrgyzstan was registered at 11:59 p.m. local time.
According to the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences, the epicenter was located 10 kilometers northwest of the village of Taldy-Suu, 118 kilometers southwest of the village of Kodzho-Kelen, 20 kilometers southeast of the village of Kichik-Alai, and 28 kilometers southwest of the village of Ak-Bosogo.
“The earthquake intensity was 4.5 points in Taldy-Suu, 4 points in Kodzho-Kelen, and 3.5 points in the villages of Kichik-Alai and Ak-Bosogo,” the report stated.
It should be recalled that in early August, seismologists registered an earthquake 35 kilometers from Almaty, with its epicenter located in Kyrgyzstan. It was noted that in Kyrgyz settlements, the quake was not felt.
