Tengrinews.kz - Kyrgyzstan’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved a list of prohibited "magic services" that cannot be advertised within the country, according to 24.kg.
The ban includes advertisements for clairvoyants, fortune-tellers, spiritualism, divination, shamanism, spells, curses, and other "magical" procedures. The list also extends to "unaccredited healing" practices.
On July 19, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov signed a law prohibiting advertisements for fortune-telling and magical services, following its approval by the Jogorku Kenesh (Supreme Council) a month earlier.
The law aims to prevent the manipulation of public perception through occult, magical, or otherwise deceptive services, which may exploit citizens for personal gain.
