The earthquake took place in Kyrgyzstan on June 26 at 06:48 a.m.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, the epicenter was located 215 kilometers west-northwest of Tumxuk (China) and 104 kilometers east of Naryn (Kyrgyzstan).
"The earthquake's source was located in Kyrgyzstan, in the Zhany-Zher mountain range, 96 kilometers southeast of the city of Naryn," stated the Institute of Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan.
