Tourism partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkey will develop on the base of Turkey’s new seaside area of Mugla that includes Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, Dacha tourist centers, Tengrinews.kz reports. Fatikh Shakhin, mayor of Mugla city, is calling to step up development of tourist partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkey. He says that 3.2 million tourists visit Mugla region every year and half of them are from the UK. “308 046 tourists from Kazakhstan visited Turkey in 2012. 6500 Kazakhstan tourists visited Mugla region. We expect that this number will increase to 10 000 tourists in 2013,” Shakhin said. Moreover, he added that it is expected that the total number of tourists from Kazakhstan would triple in the next three years. Khamdi Guvench, general director of Dalaman airport, says that there are two big airports in the region. “Direct flights from Almaty and Aktau to Mugla region will be launched in the nearest future. Now we are negotiating this with Almaty Akimat (city authorities). It is expected that a meeting with the major Kazakhstan travel companies will be arranged soon,” Guvench said. General director of Dalaman airport says that they will be negotiating with Kazakhstan's major airlines like Air Astana, SCAT, Corendon Airlines, Onur Air in the nearest future. By Azhar Ashirova
