A list of the most popular gifts for March 8 -- the International Women's Day -- in Kazakhstan has been made, Tengrinews reports.
Kompetenz centre of information and analysis polled employees of Kazakhstan's financial sector, man aged from 24 to 60, to determine how much money they were ready to spend on gifts to ladies for the Women’s Day and to find out what exactly the men were going to present.
The company also made a separate poll for women to ask them about they gifts they wanted and expected for March 8.
According to the survey, men are ready to spend an average of $50 on the holiday gifts. Most of them (34%) were planning to present flowers to their dear women, 19% intended to buy perfume or cosmetics as a gift, 12% will getting ready to present home appliances and electronic gadgets, 11% were considering gift certificates as presents, 4% were planning to buy accessories and jewellery, 2% wanted to surprise their women with travel packages and 0.5% - to purchase cars as a gift. 4% said that they would give something else. And the remaining 13.5% were not planning to make any presents on that day.
A beautiful bunch of flowers is the most anticipated gift for most women (51%) on this day. They said it was always a great pleasure to receive flowers. Perfume and cosmetics (19%) were in the second place, accessories and jewellery (11%) were in the third place, and the fourth place went to gift certificates (8%) followed by household appliances and gadgets (7%) to round up the Top 5 most anticipated gifts. The travel package with only 3% got the last place in the list.
