“Like a dream“: Korean reality stars share impressions of filming in Almaty

Tengrinews.kz – South Korean celebrities from the travel reality show Hit and Miss Tour 4 have shared their experiences after filming in Almaty, where they spent several days in late July.

One of the show's main hosts, popular comedian Yoo Se-yoon, posted a series of photos from Kazakhstan on Instagram, captioning them: "Like a dream." The post sparked a lively response from fans.

"Can’t wait for the new episode!", "Welcome to Kazakhstan! Hope you tried beshbarmak!", "The landscapes this season are insane. Kazakhstan is the best!", "Come to East Kazakhstan next time!" – users wrote in the comments.

Fellow cast member Jang Dong-min also shared pictures from the trip, describing Kazakhstan as "art."

The comments were filled with warm messages from local and international fans: "Now everyone will want to visit you! Come back with your families!", "It’s even more beautiful here in winter!", "I want to visit Kazakhstan too!", "Such stunning nature, wow."

What they filmed in Kazakhstan

According to Almaty city officials, the show's crew filmed in and around Almaty from July 24 to 27. Locations included Panfilov Park, the Ascension Cathedral, Green Bazaar, Shymbulak, Kok-Tobe, Charyn Canyon, as well as Kolsai and Kaindy lakes.

This is the show’s fourth season, but the first time its cast has traveled to Kazakhstan.

The local tourism department noted that in the first quarter of this year, Almaty welcomed 145,000 international tourists — an 18% increase compared to the same period last year. Most visitors came from India, China, and Turkey, with growing interest from the U.S., UAE, South Korea, the UK, and Germany.

Where to watch

The new episodes of Hit and Miss Tour 4 will premiere on August 23 and 30, and September 6. The show will air on South Korea’s Channel S and is also expected to be available globally on Netflix.

Hit and Miss Tour is a reality series that follows five comedian friends with over 20 years of friendship as they embark on spontaneous trips abroad. During their travels, they assign each other challenges — and the loser pays for everything, including accommodation, meals, and entertainment.
