Kazakhstan’s designer LaRiya was given a storm of applause at the presentation of her collection on the first day of the Kazakhstan Fashion Week, Tengrinews.kz reports. The image of Sherlock Holmes detective created by Arthur Conan Doyle inspired Lariya Jakambayeva to create her autumn-winter 2013/14 collection. Famous detective’s deer-stalker hat (that has a pair of fore and aft brims and two flexible side flaps) provided a basis for the collection. The audience was impressed with the combination of modesty and elegance in the collection. The designer used tweed, linen and silk that were common for those years in her collection. Ukraine singer and model Kristina Mezhinskaya closed the presentation of LaRiya’s brand. Eight designers demonstrated their collections on the first day of the KFW.
