An international circus festival called Echo of Asia was held in Astana as part of the celebrations timed to Astana Day, Tengrinews.kz reports. “The international circus festival has been gathering best circus artists in Astana for the last four years as part of the holiday events timed to Astana Day. Echo of Asia festival presents Astana as the capital of the circus art. The festival’s program is one of the cultural achievements of Kazakhstan at the international level,” the organizers write. Astana’s guests and citizens got a chance to see unique performances with participation of best circus stars and leading world artists. This was a collection of circus performances and attractions from Russia, Italy, Belarus, Germany, Latvia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, China and Kazakhstan. The festival’s program included unusual air gymnasts, exotic animals, jugglers, acrobats and clowns. The festival’s jury included leading circus artists from Italy, Germany, Latvia, China and CIS countries, the organizers report.
