Astana bracing for inflow of hackers

Hackers Marathon (Hackathon) will be held in Astana on May 19-20. It will be participated by IT experts of different levels, the event’s official website writes. “Hackathon is a 24-hour marathon for developers, where the teams will be developing IT-projects from the idea to the prototype. The participants can come with a ready-made idea that they hadn't had the time to implement earlier. Another option is to form up a team on the very day of the event,” the website writes. The idea is that the participants have to write a program or an application in just one day. The main goal of the event is to support initiatives of creative young people in programming and Internet media and provide them with opportunities to participate in implementation of business-ideas in IT. It creates a new platform for those who are interested in programming and information technologies, search for talented school-children, students and professionals, provides an opportunity to get involved in interesting and promising projects and offer new solutions.
