Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev is expected to render a state visit to South Africa, KazTAG reports. “I have an invitation to render a state visit to South Africa. The nearing opening of Kazakhstan embassy to South Africa has already boosted development of our partnership,” he said at the ceremony of presentation of credentials to ambassadors of several countries on April 25. The Ambassador of South Africa to Kazakhstan Shirish Maneklal Soni transferred the warmest greetings to Kazakhstan on behalf of South-African people. “We are eagerly awaiting a build-up in relations between South Africa and Kazakhstan in political sector and also in culture, art, trade, tourism, agriculture and mineral resources. In particular, we can support cooperation between small and medium businesses for creation of new jobs and economic development of both countries,” the Ambassador said. According to him, the African Week and a month of Nelson Mandela are to be held in Kazakhstan. The diplomat has also noted that Nazarbayev “follows the example of such internationally acclaimed leaders as Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela”.
