Nursultan Nazarbayev met Prince of Monaco Albert II, Tengrinews.kz reports. “It’s good that you came and saw our country. I hope that this visit will start the history of cooperation between Kazakhstan and your country. I am very pleased to see and meet you. It is such a big honor especially that you are holding an exhibition devoted to your mother, a great woman. This will be a big event for Kazakhstan,” Nursultan Nazarbayev told the guest. This is the first visit of the Prince of Monaco to Kazakhstan. He thanked Kazakhstan President for the invitation and for the fact that Astana is hosting the exhibition devoted to his mother. “I thank you for the warm reception and all the tokens of friendship from your government and your representatives that they show towards Monaco. The delegation and me personally felt this warmth in Monaco. I am thankful to you for agreeing to organize an exhibition devoted to my mother here in Astana. It is a big honor for me that you will personally visit the exhibition and open it with me. You will see, this exhibition is very personal for me; it is linked to my memories. Some of the showpieces are extremely interesting and exciting. They are related both to the life of my mother and to the life of the country. And I am happy that this exhibition was supported in Astana,” Albert II said. The negotiations of two heads of states resulted in a joint declaration that praised the role of the political dialog and consultations at different levels between Kazakhstan and Monaco on the issues corresponding to the national interests of both countries and the global issues. Besides, the agreement on cooperation was signed between Kazakhstan Chamber of Commerce and Monaco Economic Development Chamber. Besides, the parties discussed economy, investments, ecology and cultural-economic partnership. During his visit to Kazakhstan, the Sovereign Prince of Monaco Albert II is also going to open a honorary consulate of Monaco in Astana.
