President Nazarbayev has appointed a new Kazakhstan ambassador to Austria, Tengrinews reports citing the presidential press office. Kairat Sarybai was named the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Austria. Previously Mr. Sarybai worked as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs. His predecessor Kairat Abrakhmanov was appointed the Ambassador to Austria in March 2011. He is now the Representative of Kazakhstan to the UN. Kairat Sarybai graduated from Leningrad State University with a major in Philology and Eastern Studies. He worked as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in 1998-1999, Kazakhstan Ambassador in Turkey in 1999-2003, Kazakhstan Ambassador in Germany in 2003-2007 and Assistant to the President for Foreign Relations in 2008-2010.
