Kazakhstan urging Iran to follow Kazakh example of nuclear disarmament

Kazakhstan is urging Iran to follow the Kazakh example of nuclear disarmament, the country’s Foreign Minister Erzhan Kazykhanov announced April 23 when speaking before the Majilis (lower chamber, Tengrinews.kz reports. “As far as the situation around Iran is concerned, we are speaking in favor of peaceful, diplomacy-assisted settlement of the issue. Tehran had better take specific actions to convince the global community of the peaceful purposes of its nuclear program. We have repeatedly called Iran to follow Kazakhstan’s example of contributing to nuclear disarmament”, Minister Kazykhanov said. The Minister also emphasized that Kazakhstan supports dialogue between the six nations and Iran towards a mutually acceptable decision.
