Kazakhstan is ready to host another round of negotiations on Iranian nuclear program, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the official representative of Kazakhstan President’s Central Communications Service Altai Abibullayev. “To take the final decision on this issue we need an official confirmation from all participants of the negotiations, including Iran. I would like to stress that Kazakhstan is not a participant of the talks and thus, we cannot influence the place and time of these talks. In case all the involved parties take the final and official decision on the date and place, we, being the accepting party, will take all efforts to create excellent conditions for successful holding of the negotiations at the territory of our country,” Abibullayev said. He noted that Kazakhstan expressed readiness to host the talks several times. Earlier Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that fresh talks with world powers on Iran's nuclear drive would be held in Kazakhstan on February 25. Tehran and representatives of 5+1 (Russia, the U.S., China, France, Great Britain and Germany) held three rounds of talks in 2012: in Istanbul (April 14), Bagdad (May 23-24) and Moscow (June 18-19). All these meetings did not yield any positive results. The negotiations of 5+1 and Iran were not held for over a year before that. The U.S., several other Western countries and Israel suspect Iran of developing nuclear weapon under coverage of a peaceful atom program. Tehran insists that its nuclear program is intended to meet the country’s energy needs only. By Renat Tashkinbayev
