Kazakhstani delegation led by the Minister of Defense Imangali Tasmagambetov along with Chairman of KazCosmos Talgat Musabayev and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United Arab Emirates Kairat Lama Sharif took part in the opening ceremony of the 14th Dubai Airshow 2015. The event organized by the UAE government and the country's Armed Forces took place at the Dubai World Central Aerotropolis.
Minister Tasmagametov met with the Crown Price of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan who is also a Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
"Friendly ties between our countries have been established by the founder of the United Arab Emirates, your father and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. This ties are becoming stronger and more productive with each year rising to a higher level," Minister Tasmagambetov said.
He added that Kazakhstan was interested in developing relations with the UAE in defense through mutual exercises and drills. "Next year we plan to organize international competitions. And I invite your professionals to take part in this event," Tasmagambetov said.
In addition, the Kazakh Defense Minister mentioned the upcoming international exhibition of arms and military equipment KADEX 2016 taking place in Astana.
"On this occasion, as well as to promote military cooperation between our countries, I invite you and your companies working in defense industry to take part in this exhibition. I hope to see Emirates' novelties in defense and military equipment enriching the exhibition in Astana," Tasmagambetov concluded.
Meanwhile, Talgat Musabayev, Chairman of Kazakhstan national space company KazCosmos, met with top executives of the UAE Space Agency to discuss future cooperation in space industry. In addition, Musabayaev met with representatives of the M.F. Reshetnikov Information Satellite Systems Company from Russia.

Dubai Airshow took place from November 8 to 12 at Dubai Airshow Site. The Airshow opened in 1986 for the first time and has become one of the largest events in aerospace in the world.
