Kazakhstan’s PM in St. Petersburg. Karim Massimov’s Facebook
Press Service of the PM Karim Massimov may compete with Kazakhstan’s media, Tengrinews.kz reports. During the PM’s visit to St. Petersburg his press service arranged on-line broadcast of the CIS Heads of Government sitting at the PM’s official website. The broadcast is supplemented with immediate reports by a journalist who turns out to be part of the PM’s Press Service. It is not yet clear if such reports will be available on a regular basis as the novelty is introduced as a ballon d'essai. Should the project be successful, Karim Massimov’s Press Service can be a direct competitor to Kazakhstan’s journalists when it comes to covering the PM’s work. The PM’S Press Service already makes sure his work is widely covered in social networks. Twitter is an exception: Mr. Massimov tweets himself.
