Silver winner of the latest World Championship Kazakhstan’s figure-skater Denis Ten gave a master-class for beginners on May 19 in Almaty, Vesti.kz reports. Thirty young skaters gathered at skating rink of Baluan Sholak Palace of Culture and Sports. Ten showed simple and complex elements and gave individual time to every kid. “Our children are very talented. Kazakhstan figure-skating has a bright future. I can see that these children are willing to work hard. And I hope, the ice show will give a strong boost (to popularization of figure skating in Kazakhstan). It will be a great inspiration for people to see performances of the world’s figure skating stars live. It is a great pleasure for me to hold these master classes, I can share my experience and knowledge. I think, we should hold such events more frequently as they are very useful both for children and for me,” Ten said. The Denis Ten and His Friends Ice Show will be held on May 24 in Almaty. Brian Joubert, Carolina Kostner, Stephane Lambiel and Irina Slutskaya are going to be among the show's guest stars.
