Kazakhstan tourists are loved abroad for their cash, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing Rashida Shaikenova, Kazakhstan Tourist Association (KTA) director during the Workshop Tour seminar (WST).
In contrast to Russian tourists Kazakhstan tourists are popular everywhere. “Foreign countries like our tourists because they pay in cash and prefer high class hotels. However, our foreign partners marked high level of expectations of our tourists on the one hand and benevolence on the other hand. Of course it is pleasant to hear this,” Shaikenova said.
According to her, Kazakhstan tourists have become more diverse than two-three years ago. “Earlier Kazakhstan tourists have chosen four- and five-star hotels. And now the type of tourists who prefer economy-class services started to appear. They choose three-star hotels and second-line hotels,” Shaikenova said.
KTA head said that Turkey, Bulgaria, Croatia and Montenegro were traditionally the most popular destinations among Kazakhstan tourists and these destinations were popular this season as well.
