Golovkin purchased a piece of land on the shore of the Bolshoe Lake in his native Karaganda Oblast. According to the Akim (Mayor) of the district Khalil Maksutov, the shoreline of the lake was meant for development of tourism in the region. “For instance, our famous countryman Gennady Golovkin bought 400 meters of shoreline for construction of a tourist venue.
