Tengrinews.kz - Two new large explosions occurred on the Sun on Sunday, November 10, according to the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at IKI and ISZF.

The first flare was recorded overnight from Saturday to Sunday, with the second occurring later in the evening.

According to the laboratory, these solar events had been predicted. As the magnetic structure of the active regions simplified, the "flare activity pattern also began to change."

"After spending energy on countless minor explosions over the past 24 hours, the Sun seems to have fully shifted into a mode of conserving strength for larger flares. In this straightforward way, it has managed to gather enough energy for the first two noticeable explosions today," the statement reads.

It is noted that these explosions appear to be "blanks," with no visible activity directed toward Earth. Observational indicators suggest there is already ample energy in the area, though it currently lacks the mass needed to produce a kinetic effect alongside the radiation impact.

At the same time, while this specific active center lacks mass, the Sun as a whole has plenty of it.

"Right now, there is another massive prominence at the center of the visible disk that could break off any day. For this reason, the likelihood of negative scenarios remains uncomfortably high, and the fact that none have yet materialized this week is merely good fortune, which, unfortunately, cannot last much longer," the laboratory explained.

Previously, a high-level solar flare occurred on the Sun.
