Tengrinews.kz – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has reported that no requests for assistance were received from Kazakhstani citizens following the earthquake in Thailand.

"According to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Thailand, no inquiries have been received from our compatriots residing in the country regarding the earthquake," said MFA spokesperson Aibek Smadiyarov in response to a Tengrinews.kz inquiry.

Videos of the earthquake in Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, are circulating on social media. The tremors were so strong that water from rooftop pools in high-rise buildings spilled over.

It is worth noting that earlier, during the night, an earthquake was recorded 323 kilometers from Almaty.
