Tengrinews.kz — Low-cost airline FlyArystan is temporarily suspending flights on the Astana–Kutaisi route. The airline confirmed this in response to an inquiry from Tengrinews.
A reader contacted the newsroom via WhatsApp, reporting that flights scheduled for March 2026 had been canceled.
“The FlyArystan flight from Astana to Kutaisi was canceled on March 6, 2026. This is terrible. I would also like to add that the Astana–Kutaisi flight on March 13, 2026 has been canceled as well,” she wrote.
To clarify the situation, the editorial team contacted FlyArystan’s press service. The airline confirmed that flights on the Astana–Kutaisi route will be suspended from February 1 to March 15, 2026.
“Flights on the Astana–Kutaisi route have been temporarily suspended from February 1 to March 15, 2026, as part of flight schedule optimization. Flights on this route will resume on March 16, 2026,” the airline said in a statement.
FlyArystan also уточнила that passengers whose flights were canceled will be offered rebooking or a full refund, depending on how the ticket was purchased.
“If a flight is canceled due to the airline, passengers are entitled to choose either one free rebooking on available FlyArystan flights or a full refund of the ticket price. If the ticket was purchased through FlyArystan’s official website or mobile app, changes can be made independently via the ‘Manage Booking’ section. Passengers who purchased tickets through third-party platforms or travel agencies should contact the point of purchase,” the airline explained.
Earlier, Kazakhstan’s Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev announced plans to expand the country’s international air connectivity. Speaking at a government meeting on January 21, he said that new international routes are expected to be launched or resumed in 2026.
While specific destinations were not named, the minister noted plans to increase flight frequency on several existing routes, including flights to Vienna, Tokyo, Rome, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Dammam, Larnaca, Amman, Shanghai, Kashgar, Warsaw, and other cities.
