Tengrinews.kz – The wife and son of Kazakh UFC fighter Shavkat Rakhmonov, who were injured in a recent car accident, have been released from the hospital, citing the Zhambyl Regional Health Department.
According to officials, the victims signed a discharge agreement and left the Shu City Hospital for Almaty. The health department added that they had no complaints regarding the medical care provided.
Earlier, doctors assessed their condition as moderate. Both had sustained closed craniocerebral injuries and concussions.
The accident occurred on July 27 at 08:50 a.m. on the 299th kilometer of the Almaty–Yekaterinburg highway. The driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser 200, traveling from Karaganda Region toward Almaty, reportedly lost control of the vehicle, resulting in a rollover.
Two people were killed at the scene, and two others—including Rakhmonov’s wife and son—were hospitalized. Reports confirmed that several passengers were in the vehicle, including Rakhmonov’s wife, their child, and her friends.
