Kazakhstan to export first batch of batteries to China

Kazakhstan will export the first batch of batteries worth $30 million to China, Tengrinews.kz reports citing press-service of Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and New Technologies. “On April 17, 2012, Kainar AKB company, one of the major industrial companies of Kazakhstan, will dispatch the first lot of batteries to China. The producer inked an agreement with China to supply Kazakhstan-made commodities during this year for the total amount of 1 million units worth $30 million,” the Ministry’s press-service writes. The supplies from Taldykorgan-based company to China are made in the framework of implementation of the State Program of Accelerated Industrialization. “The Chinese market has a significant potential for Kazakhstan producers. The agreement on supplies of the batteries, the goods with high added value, to the highly competitive Chinese market can be considered a breakthrough for Kazakhstan engineering,” the message states. Taldykorgan company Kainar AKB is a participant of the Business Roadmap-2020 and Export-2020 programs. The company is an exclusive supplier of batteries to assembly lines of such companies as KamAZ, Rostselmash, UralAZ, MAZ and Belaz. Kainar batteries are made for CIS and foreign cars.
