Kazakhstan to manufacture cars for state officials

Kazakhstan will start manufacturing executive class cars for state officials, Tengrinews.kz reports.
Agromashholding, Kostanai, will manufacture SsangYong Chairman along with AllurAuto group of companies. According to the manufacturers, the car will combine luxury, technical progress and modern design.
A presentation of the car to the media and state authorities was held on March 12 in Astana. The event included a test-drive.
Earlier Kazakhstan President instructed the officials to buy Kazakhstan-made cars. Nazarbayev said that increasing the manufacturing of cars would help provide more companies with orders and create new jobs.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan is to assemble cheap cars of Chance brand. The cars will cost $9,000. Around 3,000 cars will be manufactures in 2012.
