Cost of Kazakhstan-assembled cars will be comparable to those of Rissian-made Zhiguli, Tengrinews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Car Business Association. “Manufacturing of low-cost cars will start at Kostanai car-manufacturing company in March. Modern sedan and hatchback cars will have 1.3-1.5 liter engines, manual or automatic transmission. There will be different options for interior and additional security systems,” the Association stated. All cars are expected to get “warranty and post-warranty service”. The car will cost $8,900, the same as Russian Lada. Representatives of Kostanai car-manufacturing company will give all the details on production of the “affordable cars” on February 15.
