Petrol output dropped 14 percent in Kazakhstan

Petrol production made 1.7 million tons in January-August 2011 in Kazakhstan, KazTAG reports citing Kazakhstan Statistics Agency. This value is 14.2 percent lower than in the same period in 2010. Meanwhile, oil production, including gas condensate, made 53.3 million tons in January-August 2011, which is 1.5 percent higher than in the same period last year. According to the statistics, production of natural gas in 2011 made 26.3 billion cubic meters (+7.8 percent). Besides, 1.1 million tons (-0.4 percent), 2.1 million tons (+12.5 percent) of flat rolled steel, 220 thousand tons of refined copper (-4.3 percent), 5.2 million tons of cement (+16 percent) were produced in the 8 months of 2011. Industrial production has grown in 14 regions of Kazakhstan. Lowering was registered in South-Kazakhstan and Pavlodar oblasts.
