Golovkin plans to fight in Kazakhstan before EXPO-2017

The undefeated champion in middleweight division Gennady Golovkin has shared his plans for 2017, Tengrienws reports citing Vesti.kz.

 The WBA Super, IBO and WBC Interim champion plans to have a fight in Kazakhstan.

"Certainly, I want to have a fight in my home country. In 2017, Astana hosts the international EXPO-2017 exhibition, my main sponsor. The exhibition is a major event for Kazakhstan. And if I can conduct a fight in Kazakhstan I hope to draw international attention to my country," Golovkin said.

 Triple G also commented on stats and records in boxing. "All opponents are different from one another. Each one requires individual approach. It is very important to be 100% ready before the fights and show results. In this regards, stats and records play no role to me. There are more important things that motivate me," Golovkin said.

 Golovkin is surely planning to continue his record-breaking KO streak at the upcoming fight against David Lemiuex, the IBF middleweight champion. The Kazakhstani boxer facer the Canadian champion on October 17 at Madison Square Garden.
