Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev during his speech at the V Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana raised the problem of deterioration of spiritual and moral values, a Tengrinews correspondent reports.

&ldquoIt is impossible to overlook the global problems of deterioration of spiritual and moral values. Through the media, social networks and the Internet there spread profanity, mockery of the spiritual principles of people, criminal immorality, permissiveness, vulgar examples of the so-called mass culture,&rdquo Nazarbayev declared.

&ldquoThe currents of such pseudo-culture are particularly painful to immature souls of our youth, they undermine the family traditions, destroy the connection between generations. All of these are critical challenges of our time," he said.

The President of Kazakhstan said that the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions was a placed to discuss ways of solving these and many other problems.
