“Kazakhstan expresses sincere condolences to the people and government of Nepal over to the death of thousands of people in the series of devastating earthquakes,” Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

A powerful 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Nepal on April 25. The epicentre of the earthquake was 81 kilometres (50 miles) away to the northwest of Kathmandu. According to the UN, the number of the victims made 6.2 thousand. Over 14 thousand people were injured. The UN appealed to the international community asking for $415 million in humanitarian aid.
