Smoke from burning waste dump covers village in Mangistau oblast

Garbage has caught fire at a solid domestic waste dump in Mangistau oblast on July 20, KazTAG reports.
According to local citizens, the poisonous smoke covered Baskuduk village located around 4km from Aktau. “People started complaining of ailment and asthmatic attacks,” ambulance doctors said.
According to the local fire-fighting department, it took a fire-fighting team a whole day to quench the fire on July 20. However, the smoke was still seen at the dump on Sunday, the local citizens said, and the fire-fighters had to arrive to the accident site again.
