Kazakhstan tennis professional Andrey Golubev has won in the Doubles Tournament that was held in Italy’s Padova, Vesti.kz reports.
Golubev played paired with Italy’s Matteo Donati. They won German/Dutch duo of Kevin Krawietz and Thomas Schoorel in the first round of the competition. Then Golubev and Donati defeated Chili’s Guillermo Hormazabal paired with Italy’s Pietro Rondoni.
The Kazakhstan-Italian duo played against the hosting duo of Lorenzo Frigerio and Matteo Trevisan in the semifinals. Then the victorious duo defeated Croatia’s Mate Delic/Josko Topic in three sets in the finals 7:6, 3:6, 10:6. Golubev and Donati lost the second set of the match and it was the only one set they lost during the whole tournament.
