Tengrinews.kz — An incident occurred at Kolsai Lakes in Almaty region: a 16-year-old girl was bitten by a snake. The victim needed help from rescuers, citing the official Telegram channel of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Members of the operational rescue unit immediately provided first aid to the teenager at a universal rescue station. She was then taken to a medical facility in an official vehicle.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations warns that snakes are especially active during the warm season.

“When spending time outdoors, observe safety precautions, do not leave marked routes, carefully inspect rest areas and do not try to approach reptiles or catch them,” the ministry reminded.

In the event of a snake bite, medical assistance should be sought immediately and the incident should be reported by calling 112.
