Tengrinews.kz – New short-term parking rates will come into effect at Astana International Airport on August 1, while the airport is also preparing new long-term parking areas with lower fees.
According to the airport's press service, the cost of short-term parking will increase from 200 tenge to 300 tenge per hour starting August 1, 2026.
"The parking fee of 200 tenge per hour has remained unchanged since 2023 despite rising operating costs, increased spending on parking infrastructure maintenance, and modernization works," the airport said.
At the same time, the airport is expanding its parking infrastructure by developing new long-term parking areas.
Parking in these new zones will cost 100 tenge per hour, providing a more affordable option for travelers leaving their vehicles for several hours or days.
The airport's free parking lot, which accommodates 100 vehicles, will continue to operate.
Parking fee exemptions will also remain in place for certain categories of visitors, including:
- people with Group I and II disabilities;
- veterans of the Soviet-Afghan War;
- individuals involved in the cleanup of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site.
The airport said the expansion of its parking infrastructure is aimed at improving passenger convenience, optimizing traffic flow around the terminal, and providing travelers with a wider choice of parking options.
