Almost 15 thousand cars were assembled in Kazakhstan in first 10 months of 2012, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the press-service of Kazakhstan Car Business Association.
“14,996 cars were produced in Kazakhstan in 10 months of 1012, compared to 6,055 cars produced in the same period of 2011. 2.5 times more cars were produced,” the press-service writes.
According to the press-service, Kazakhstan car plants prefer to focus on light vehicles: 14,323 of them were produced in 10 months. This is 95.5 percent of the total number of the cars assembled at the territory of Kazakhstan during the period.
Offroaders were the leaders among the light vehicles: 7,551 cars (52.7 percent). Golf-class cars were the second most popular cars: 5,289 cars (36.9 percent). Mini cars were the third top cars produced in Kazakhstan: 724 cars (5 percent).
Production of D-class family cars totaled at 628 units (4.3 percent of the total volume). The total of 673 light commercial vehicles and buses were produced in 10 months.
