Tengrinews.kz – Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov responded to concerns about a possible water shortage in the capital this summer.

Answering journalists' questions during a government briefing, the minister assured that water is being supplied to the capital on schedule and there will be no shortage.

"I can say with certainty that there will be no water shortage in Astana. The Astana Reservoir, which is the main source of drinking water for the capital, was filled to more than 100 percent during the spring flood period. Water is now being supplied according to schedule," Nurzhigitov stated.
